Master Plan and Urban Development Project
Duoba New City Master Plan is a comprehensive urban development project in Xining, Qinghai Province, spanning a planning area of 165 square kilometers with approximately 50 square kilometers designated for new city construction. Strategically positioned 25km from downtown Xining, the project serves as the city's western gateway and sub-center, responding to national and regional development strategies.
The master plan employs four key design strategies: creating an organic urban body integrating ecology, living, and leisure; establishing a multi-dimensional garden city within mountainous terrain; fostering mixed-use diversity; and developing a distinctive "thousand changes" character.
At its node is the Culture Wetland Leisure Zone, featuring 320 hectares of ecological wetland that purifies 40,000 cubic meters of water annually, complemented by 108,000 square meters of research and education facilities. The development integrates natural wetland ecosystems with folk culture tourism, vocational training centers, and waterfront living, anchored by two major nodes: the Huangshui Window - a large-scale cultural and tourism complex offering comprehensive amenities, and the Ecological Science Exhibition Area for environmental education. The project transforms the existing linear Huangshui River into a meandering ecological corridor system, establishing Duoba as an innovative ecological demonstration zone that balances environmental preservation with sustainable urban growth.
